Get Involved

1) Prayer
Please, please, please take time to pray for Ruvheneko Trust and the Sanyati community.

2) Encouragement
Take a moment to encourage our staff living and working in Sanyati. Send a letter (which usually takes 3-5 weeks), an email, or a text to share a word of support.

3) Resource Provision/Regular Contribution
Take a look at our list of needs, and see if you or your church has any items that can be donated, or funds to purchase it in-country. We are always looking for resources for our schools, football/netball teams, projects, and office. We are also looking to consistent donations, so that we can plan our budget.

Immediate Office Needs:
Accounting Software
MS Office for Macbooks

4) Student Sponsorship
Sponsoring a student costs $60 per school year and lasts for the duration of the student’s primary education—up to 7 years, depending on their age. Our dream is that these students can establish real relationships with their sponsors and be freed from the worry of school fees.

Ruvheneko Trust needs YOU!

There are a number of ongoing projects the Trust is involved with. Current projects include:

300 sq. meter greenhouse for hydroponically-grown tomatoes. Ruvheneko Trust strives to be as self-sustaining as possible. Agricultural projects help the Trust achieve that goal. The Trust has invested in a generator and pump system for drip irrigation to grow high quality tomatoes ready for market in February 2010.

Orphan School Fees Campaign. Education in Zimbabwe is not free. Out of 1,500 children at a local primary school there are over 300 orphans unable to pay their school fees. At $20 per term an orphan otherwise unable to attend school can get an education for only $60 per year. Ruvheneko Trust is launching a campaign to raise money to pay orphan school fees for the 2011 school year.

Founding a local Christian soccer league. The Trust aims to establish a soccer league in Sanyati where the Gospel is shared at every game.

Long-term land acquisition. Local government authorities are working to donate land to Ruvheneko Trust for a community center.

In its first year of existence Ruvheneko Trust raised over $5000 thanks to friends of the Trust donating small-scale funds. The Lord has been faithful to provide for the Trust and for Belinda’s needs every step of the way. If you’ve contributed to the Trust, THANK YOU! But please do not stop giving. The work is ongoing–in fact, there is more to do every day. And if you haven’t contributed, please pray about doing so. Anything helps. In fact, $20 could fund a child’s school fees for an entire term!

Also consider getting your church, school, friends, family, or place of employment involved. Be creative! Working together with others puts the FUN in FUNdraising.

If you’d like to donate or get involved with a project, please contact Caitie at ruvhenekotrust[at]gmail[dot]com.

And the most important thing you can do: PRAY. Psalm 127 says “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” Pray for wisdom for Belinda and Caitie, for open doors, and for people to hear and respond to the Gospel.
